Sadi signs Cherries extension

Development squad midfielder Dominic Sadi has penned a two-year extension to his contract with the Cherries.

Having arrived at Vitality Stadium last summer on a one-year contract, the new deal sees him remain in Dorset until at least the summer of 2025.

The midfielder told afcb.co.uk: “I’m over the moon. It’s indescribable, honestly.

“To get another two years at this amazing club is a dream of mine, and to continue playing at the highest level.

“I’m just happy that I’ve been able to prove myself in the year I’ve had and to get myself another two years.”

Sadi arrived at the club with experience in West Ham United’s academy and non-league under his belt.

The 19-year-old completed a two-year scholarship with the Irons, as well as spending time playing senior football with Wingate & Finchley.

Since linking up with the development squad, Sadi has been a mainstay for his side throughout the campaign.

Strong performances in the Hampshire Senior Cup and Premier League Cup have cued first-team involvement for the youngster.

Making his senior Cherries debut away to Norwich City in the Carabao Cup in August, an appearance against Everton followed in the third round.

An impressive start to life at AFC Bournemouth was also added to with the club’s November Goal of the Month award, fending off competition from Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing and Jaidon Anthony with one of his four strikes in a friendly against Newport County.

Looking back and then into the future, he said: “Those milestones are the standards I want to set myself and to get more of that is another goal of mine.

“It’s been amazing and I’ve had the experiences I’ve always wanted since being a kid.

“It’s a place to build from and get more, that’s what I’ve got to look forward to over these next two years.”
