A stirring second-half comeback saw AFC Bournemouth register a thrilling 2-1 win over Derby County in the Premier League Cup at Vitality Stadium on Friday.
Goals from Jack Stephens and Ben Greenwood earned the Cherries their second victory in Group B following their 3-0 triumph at Brighton last month.
Hosting category one opposition, the Cherries fell behind when Harrison Solomon converted Joe Haigh’s free kick in the seventh minute.
Greenwood was denied by a fine save from Rams goalkeeper Harry Evans before Dominic Sadi’s follow up was blocked on the line by a defender.
Stephens, on loan from Southampton, levelled when he fired home following a driving run into the Derby 18-yard box in the 77th minute.
And skipper Greenwood, teed up by Matt Burgess, saw his thunderous strike earn the Cherries all three points four minutes from time.
