Loan move for midfielder Wadham

AFC Bournemouth development squad midfielder Jack Wadham has joined National League South high-fliers Worthing on loan.

Wadham has been a mainstay as Alan Connell’s team have enjoyed an impressive first half of the season on three fronts.

He has played a leading role in the development squad being unbeaten in the Premier League Cup, going joint top of the Professional Development League and reaching the quarter-finals of the Servio Hampshire Men’s Senior Cup.

The 20-year-old, who signed his first professional contract at the start of last season, could make his debut for Worthing when they face Truro City at Plymouth Parkway’s Bolitho Park on Saturday.

Worthing are managed by former Brighton, Aldershot and Wycombe defender Adam Hinshelwood who is the father of Seagulls midfielder Jack Hinshelwood.

Wadham, who joined the Cherries academy as a ten-year-old, had a loan spell with Dorchester Town during 2021/22, although Covid and a number of postponements restricted his game time.

He will stay with Worthing for the rest of the season.
