AFC Bournemouth development squad midfielder Ferdinand Okoh has joined Truro City on a work experience loan.

Okoh had a brief spell with the Cornish club last season before moving closer to his London home with Haringey Borough.

The 18-year-old graduated into the development squad this season after playing an influential role in the success of Alan Connell’s under-18s in 2021/22.

Okoh’s exploits helped the Cherries reach the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup and win their division of the EFL Youth Alliance.

He joined the Cherries in the summer of 2020 having spent two years in the academy ranks at Tottenham Hotspur and four seasons with West Ham.

Okoh was one of three players loaned to Truro last season, with Owen Bevan and Matt Burgess both enjoying fruitful stays with the Southern Premier South club.

The White Tigers, who are managed by former Plymouth midfielder Paul Wotton, kick off their league campaign against promoted Hanwell Town on Saturday, subject to FA approval.
