Loan move for Jordan

AFC Bournemouth defender Corey Jordan has signed a loan deal with National League South outfit Eastbourne Borough.

Jordan, who will stay with the club for the rest of the season, could make his debut when they visit Truro City on Saturday.

The 19-year-old signed his first professional contract in 2015/16 and is a member of the under-21 squad at Vitality Stadium.

He has also trained regularly with the first team and was handed his debut by manager Eddie Howe when he was just 17.

Raised in Mudeford, Jordan came on in extra-time for Tyrone Mings during the Cherries’ EFL Cup defeat to Preston in September 2016.

He impressed when he featured for the opening 45 minutes of Warren Cummings’s testimonial against AC Milan and was an unused substitute in the Cherries’ 3-1 defeat by Manchester United at Old Trafford on the final day of the 2015/16 season.

However, his progress was checked when he sustained a serious knee injury during a prestige friendly for the under-21s against Sampdoria March 2017.
