AFC Bournemouth had three players in action on international duty over the weekend.

The Cherries trio all represented the Republic of Ireland youth sides and all three enjoyed success.

Joe Quigley - currently on loan at Boreham Wood - had a big impact for the under-21s as they were 3-1 winners over Iceland in UEFA U21 European Championship qualifying.

The striker played a big part in the opening goal for the Irish, winning an aerial battle on the left-hand side allowing Rory Hale to score.

Elsewhere, Mark Travers kept an impressive clean sheet as the Irish under-19s maintained hope of qualifying for the 2018 UEFA Under-19 European Championship, beating Kosovo 3-0.

Finally, Gavin Kilkenny completed 90 minutes for the Irish under-18s side who defeated Romania 2-1 in a friendly.

Lewis Cook, Nathan Ake, Ryan Fraser and Lys Mousset were all unused substitutes for their countries.
