Kian Tydeman’s quickfire double put the gloss on another impressive display as the AFC Bournemouth development squad triumphed 4-1 against Havant & Waterlooville in the Servio Hampshire Men's Senior Cup on Wednesday.

Tydeman came off the bench at Westleigh Park and netted twice in the space of three second-half minutes as Alan Connell’s team, beaten finalists last season, booked a place in the quarter-finals.

A youthful Cherries side were up against a strong Hawks outfit which included no fewer than nine starters from their most recent National League South game against Torquay United.

Daniel Adu-Adjei opened the scoring with an emphatic finish after 36 minutes, his 12th goal of the season and sixth in his past four games.

And although James Roberts levelled for the hosts on the stroke of half-time, the Cherries regained the lead through Dominic Sadi seven minutes into the second half.

Substitute Tydeman, returning from an injury and illness absence, put the tie beyond the hosts when he scored in the 70th and 73rd minutes as the Cherries extended to ten games their unbeaten run, the sequence including nine wins.
