Development Squad

Dominic Sadi joins the Cherries

AFC Bournemouth is delighted to announce that Dominic Sadi has agreed a deal to join the club.

The deal is subject to confirmation from the Premier League and the FA, and will see the youngster link up with Shaun Cooper’s development squad next season.

Speaking on the move to Vitality Stadium, Sadi shared his delight over joining up with the Cherries.

“It feels very good to be here,” he shared with afcb.co.uk. “It was a good experience coming in and meeting all of the boys.

“I’m really delighted about it and it all just feels very welcoming here at Bournemouth, so it’s been nice.”

Having played in the youth ranks with West Ham United, during his two-year scholarship with the Irons, Sadi spent time out on loan.

The forward played with Wingate & Finchley in the Isthmian League Premier Division, a period which he felt was invaluable.

Sadi said: “Non-league has matured me very well, especially playing it while I’ve been young.

“Playing men’s football has just toughened me up physically and mentally and made me ahead of my peers; it’s improved me a lot.

“In men’s football you learn, you get a lot of insight of how people of an older age carry themselves around both on and off the football pitch.

“It’s all just professionalism around them and as a young kid like myself, it’s good to see that early so I can progress from there.”

Having honed his skillset while with both the Irons and the Blues, the 18-year-old attacker values hard work as much as the technical side of the game.

“I’d say I’m very creative, technical and very hard working off the ball, so I’m always around on the pitch trying to get the ball and get involved in a game,” he concluded.
