AFC Bournemouth development squad defender Noa Boutin has joined Gosport Borough on a work experience loan.

Boutin, who can also operate as a left winger, could make his debut when Boro host Southern Premier South rivals Hayes & Yeading United at Privett Park on Saturday.

Former Cherries development squad coach Mark Molesley was appointed director of football at Gosport at the end of November.

Boutin made eight appearances during a work experience loan spell with National League South outfit Weymouth during the first half of the season.

The 19-year-old also made seven appearances for Poole Town last season, playing his part as the Dolphins won the Dorset Senior Cup.

Born in Paris, Boutin became the first French player to join the AFC Bournemouth academy when he signed in the summer of 2020.

Now a third-year scholar, Boutin has made excellent progress at Vitality Stadium and has featured three times in the Premier League Cup this season.

He was crowned Cherries’ Scholar of the Year last season, a reward for his sterling efforts both on and off the pitch.

Boutin featured prominently as Alan Connell’s under-18s reached the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup and lifted the EFL Youth Alliance title.
