Yasmin wins special Premier League award

The Premier League is celebrating the incredible impact of football clubs in their local communities as the Premier League charitable fund marks its 10-year anniversary.

The Premier League provides investment and long-term support to help clubs create lasting change within communities. An awards programme has been established to recognise the achievement of individuals who have contributed to making a positive difference through PL funded programmes.

And with those awards, the AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust are extremely pleased to reward Yasmin with her special trophy for Premier League Kicks Facilitator.

Yasmin has been a regular attendee of community sessions for several years, taking part in PE lessons and classroom workshops at primary school, Premier League Kicks, girls sessions and more regularly playing for the AFC Bournemouth Girls Under 16s.

She has always displayed a great attitude to learn and always makes new participants feel welcome to the sessions. These leadership traits led to her completing the FA Junior Football Leaders course and being offered the opportunity to volunteer within our younger Mini Kickers and PL Kicks activities.

As Yasmin continues to develop her skills, she is currently completing her referees award, which will further aid her development.

Head of Community Steve Cuss praised Yasmin for her efforts as a volunteer at the Community Sports Trust.

“Yasmin’s enthusiasm, skills and hard work as a participant, player and volunteer has been great to see develop and see is a very valuable member of the team,” he said.

“We are delighted to see Yasmin recognised in the way with the Premier League facilitators award.”
