Vitality Stadium to host Diversity event

This July, AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium will host the S.E.N.D local offer conference for the second successive year, with local partners and the Community Sports Trust.

The conference, for young people with physical and/or learning disabilities, will educate attendees about the opportunities that are open to them within the local area. It will take place on Thursday 26th July from 2pm-5pm.

Run in conjunction with Bournemouth Council and YMCA Chatterboxes, the conference will provide information on support services, advise on finance and travel, whilst also offering information on volunteering, work experience and job opportunities in the local area. There will also be drop-in workshops throughout the day on finance and employment run by local businesses SWRAC and Nationwide.

Disability Inclusion Development Officer Hannah Powis is delighted to be hosting the event again this year.

"The event was a huge success last year with many young people attending," she said.

“We are looking forward to hosting the day again and seeing lots of young people at the stadium.”

To add to the day, tours of the facilities can also be arranged by those attending.
