Trust travel to Oman with Premier League Skills

Written by Zoe Rundle

AFC Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust travel will travel to Oman this week as part of the Premier League Skills programme.

Premier League Skills is a partnership between the Premier League and the British Council which uses football as a tool to engage with and develop the skills of young people. The scheme helps the development of community coaches and referees.

Head of community, Steve Cuss, will be travelling to Oman this Wednesday, alongside Community Sports Trust senior manager, Andrew Battison.

The pair will spend three days educating community coaches, before hosting a football festival for local children.

This is the second Premier League skills trip for Steve, who visited Ningbo in China last year.

Ahead of the trip to Oman, Steve spoke to afcb.co.uk about the opportunity.

“Premier League Skills is a fantastic project to engage with coaches all over the world,” he began.

“We are honoured to be asked to deliver Premier League skills in Oman for the first time and look forward to promoting AFC Bournemouth to a wider audience.”
