The under-10s, under-12s and under-14s were all in league action last weekend, with the under-14s the team not to play.

Under-10s

In a return to league action, the under-10s welcomed Pace to Bournemouth School for Girls.

The Cherries started the game well and created some excellent passing options with their movement and work-rate across the field.

Goals were scored Ruby, Jazmine, Zuzanna, Isabella, Zara, Daisy, Lucy and Belle in what was another excellent game for the youngest AFC Bournemouth side.

Under-12s

Following the under-12s fantastic win against Newport in the opening stage of the Hampshire Cup, the girls faced Southampton in the second round.

The game was extremely tight for much of the first period, with good defending from the Cherries’ back three, Jess, Olivia and Faye.

Likewise, at the other end, the girls were struggling to create clear opportunities, but a couple of efforts from Isobel went close to putting AFC Bournemouth ahead.

The deadlock was broken just before half-time when Bobbi won the ball high up the pitch and finished brilliantly into the bottom corner.

After the break, AFC Bournemouth kicked on and a great long-distance strike from Kelcey and a corner deflected in by a Southampton player really put the game to bed.

They did manage to pull one back, but a strong performance against difficult opposition meant that the Cherries to progress into the next round of the competition.

Under-16s

The final team in action was the under-16 girls, who returned to Junior Premier League action away to Yeovil Town.

After just five minutes, the Cherries found themselves 2-0 down through some defensive errors, however the side responded well as Emma produced an excellent strike from the edge of the box that beat the goalkeeper into the bottom corner of the net.

This momentum was short lived as AFC Bournemouth conceded two further goals finding themselves 4-1 down.

The introduction of Kitty saw the Cherries score again, as she finished well, quickly followed by Hannah H, who latched onto a through ball and tucked it away past the onrushing keeper.

The second half was played in much similar fashion, as the hosts added another two goals to their tally, leaving the Cherries trailing 6-3.

The away side were galvanised for a short spell, with Faith finding the net from a low cross provided by Lucy, however the game ended 6-4 to Yeovil.
