While Dominic Solanke might be sidelined with injury at the moment, he has been putting his time to good use and virtually speaking to supporters within the community.
Last week, the striker sat down for a Zoom call with a group of 20 fans from across the Community Sports Trust programmes.
Those from the Ability Counts senior squads were involved, as well as those who play for the Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and hearing-impaired teams.
It’s been a tough period for the group, who haven’t been able to training or play due to the country’s third national lockdown, so weekly Zooms with the coaches are the only way such teams have been able to keep in contact.
Solanke answered questions all about his football career, offering insight into his journey and what motivates him ahead of a game today.

“It was good to get our players together from across our Ability Counts and the impairment teams.
“It was a great talk with Dominic Solanke, who gave great advice on training and practicing, as well as the importance of having fun whilst playing.

“We like to thank him for dropping in and speaking to our players.”
