The AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust held their latest Ability Counts session at Vitality Stadium this week.

The Ability Counts programme consists of weekly sessions, which cater to over 100 children and adults with physical and/or learning disabilities.

With 12 children in attendance on Monday, the session included football drills and shooting exercises in the half term sunshine.

Attendees were also training in their new Ability Counts kit for the first time this season.

Half way through the session, as the children took a break from playing, they were treated to watching the AFC Bournemouth squad train in their first session since the 0-0 draw with Southampton at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Additionally, Cherries defender Adam Smith also stopped by to meet the children, sign autographs and pose for a photo.

AFC Bournemouth would like to extend its thanks to Ability Counts sponsors Cathedral City, which is owned by Dairy Crest, the leading British dairy company.

Cathedral City also sponsor Cherries’ accessible travel service to away matches.
