Powerchair players sweep up awards

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

The Community Sports Trust were delighted to celebrate the AFC Bournemouth Warriors teams after their maiden year with the club.

The Cherries’ Powerchair players attended an awards night at Vitality Stadium over the weekend to celebrate what has been an incredible season for the two sides.

The South East team have recently gained promotion out of Division Two, alongside picking up the top goal-scorer award.

Meanwhile the National League side also gained promotion and will play next season’s football in the Premiership.

Having already received their awards from their respective leagues, individual trophies were given out on the night.

Following the event, head of community Steve Cuss spoke to afcb.co.uk about the end of season awards and the Powerchair team’s first season.

“The awards evening was a fantastic way to celebrate an outstanding season for the AFC Bournemouth Powerchair players.”

“Promotion for both sides is a reward for the hard work of all the players and staff.”
