Over 70 kids enjoy Vitality Football Festival

For the first time ever, AFC Bournemouth, in association with Principal Partner Vitality, held a football festival with almost 80 Junior Cherries invited to participate for free.

Taking place on the 3G pitches at Vitality Stadium, attendees joined in with skills games and penalty shootouts, while they could also test the speed of their shots using the inflatable Power Strike machine.

Players were later treated to a special guest appearance, as Cherries winger Marc Pugh turned up to show off his skills, alongside club legend Ted MacDougall who was visiting from America.

Both were on hand to give out medals and goodie bags, including a free Vitality drinking bottle and matchday programme, to participants in the sunshine.

Following the festival, which began at midday, the children were then given the opportunity to watch AFC Bournemouth play out a 0-0 draw with Southampton live at Vitality Stadium.

AFC Bournemouth would like to thank Vitality for their continued support and help in bringing the football festival to fruition.
