The annual local rounds of our Premier League Primary Stars tournament have taken place with the Community Sports Trust this month.

The yearly competition provides schools with the opportunity to play in a local tournament competition for under 11s, with the winners going on to represent AFC Bournemouth in a national final against the other 19 Premier League clubs.

Across two dates, local schools have taken part in tournaments at Ringwood Community Hub to determine a winner for the girls and mixed competitions.

In total over 200 children represented their schools over the course of two days.

Speaking after the event, head of community Steve Cuss shared his thoughts with afcb.co.uk: “We’re delighted to have hosted this year’s schools’ tournaments at the new facility at Ringwood Community Hub.

“The standard of football across the two days was fantastic and it was brilliant to see the children showing great teamwork and resilience skills, alongside their football talents. Congratulations to our winning schools.”

Baden Powell Primary School will represent AFC Bournemouth in the under-11 girls tournament, whilst Ringwood Junior School will play in the under-11 mixed category.
