AFC Bournemouth were pleased to welcome the recent recipients of donations to Vitality Stadium on Wednesday 16th August for their large cheque presentation photos taken pitchside.
AFC Bournemouth's popular half-time Cherries Community Draw gives supporters the chance to win cash prizes while helping the local community through the Cherries Community Fund.
The Cherries Community Fund would now welcome applications for donations which will continue across the year, with several worthy causes benefiting from the Fund since it started in January 2016 and a total of £213,180.67 given to worthy causes since the fund started!
The money raised for the fund comes from the matchday draw tickets sold at Vitality Stadium, as well as from the auctions in the hospitality suites.
The fund has helped a wide variety of projects in the local area, including helping several football clubs purchase kit and equipment, local schools purchasing specialist equipment, a variety of community projects including street safety and helping adults with learning difficulties, as well as donations to help sustain various support groups and helping the homeless across Bournemouth.
The excellent work and charitable donations will continue throughout the 2023/24 campaign as the panel will meet quarterly in 2023 and panels are scheduled in March, June, September, and December to distribute more funds back into the local community.

The next panel meeting will be in September 2023, so applications received by the end of August would be reviewed at this panel. Applications are still welcomed after this date for the subsequent panel meetings.
