Over the weekend, AFC Bournemouth’s under-12 and under-14 girls booked their place in their respective Hampshire Cup finals. The under-10s also progressed in the League Cup, whilst the under-16 girls continued their league campaign.

Under-10s

The under-10s made it through in the League Cup after hosting Fareham Reds. Goals from Krystal, Ruby and Isla helped secure their progression in the competition, with Katelyn making some brilliant saves too.

Under-12s

The under-12s secured their place in the Hampshire Cup final with a 4-1 win over Portchester. Two strikes from Zara, along with superb finishes from Isobel and Bobbi, saw the youngsters run out 4-1 winners.

Under-14s

The under-14s also progressed in the Hampshire Cup with an outstanding win over Andover. Orlaith made a great save in goal at the start of the game, as the opposition started strongly.

However, the Cherries rode the storm and, after going behind initially, Lucy and Alice both reacted well to score hat-tricks, before individual goals were added by Emily and Amiee L.

Under-16s

In the final game of the weekend, the eldest age ground suffered a narrow defeat at home to Yeovil Town.

Despite first half chances from Kitty, Be-Be and Hannah H., they were unable to break down the Glovers’ defence.

With just two minutes to go, the visitors broke down the left-hand side and their winger placed the ball into the far corner of the Bournemouth goal.
