As preparations continue for the 2018/19 season, the AFC Bournemouth Girls’ teams look forward to a two-day pre-season training camp at Milton Abbey School.

Over 50 girls, representing the AFC Bournemouth under-10s, under-12s, under-14s and under-16s will travel to the impressive facilities on the school grounds to take part in training activities across the two days.

A training programme complete with coaching and tactical sessions, a gym programme, specific goalkeeper practices and training games have been prepared for the players to complete over Monday and Tuesday.

Head of Community Steve Cuss, who will be attending the training camp with the teams, spoke to afcb.co.uk.

“We are delighted to add to our thriving girls’ programme with the addition of a pre-season training camp,” he began.

“Giving the opportunity to take all four age groups away gives the coaches additional time to prepare the players for the new season, along with allowing the squads to gel as we look to continue to offer the best opportunities and pathway for the girls to reach their potential.”
