Pupils from Poole High School have won the chance to represent AFC Bournemouth at this year’s Premier League Enterprise Challenge play-offs, having beaten five others to the opportunity.

The Premier League Enterprise Challenge is the national competition element of the Premier League’s enterprise programme, which began in 2009 and is run in partnership with Sport Relief.

The Challenge sees students from years eight, nine and ten complete a football business-related task by Premier League Executive Chairman Richard Scudamore.

This season, he asked groups to come up with initiatives to encourage diversity and make going to a match a most enjoyable experience.

32 Premier League and Football League clubs have entered this year’s challenge and will be represented at six play-off events in January. These play-off’s will be taking place at Anfield, the King Power Stadium and St. Mary’s Stadium.

Speaking after the club heat, head of community Steve Cuss spoke of the event’s success.

“All five schools deserve an enormous amount of credit. The work they put in prior to the day was very evident with the presentations on the day delivered in a very mature manner,” he said.

“Congratulations to Poole High who we look forward to continuing to work with as they represent AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League Enterprise Challenge.”

Pupils from Poole High School will be competing in the play-off at St Mary’s Stadium on Wednesday 24th January.
