AFC Bournemouth
The Community Sports Trust's FA Disability Talent Hub was launched at Vitality Stadium on 30th October.
The launch event saw players join us from the England Talent Day, held in early October, who had been recognised as having potential to progress through the England Talent pathway.
Players were issued their training and match kit and were then given a presentation from AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust staff on what it means to be a Cherries player and the expectations from the programme.
The players were then given a tour of the Vitality Stadium visiting the changing rooms and interview rooms, before they lined up in the tunnel and made their way towards the pitch, as the first team do on a match day.
Following the event, Disability Inclusion Officer Hannah Powis spoke of her delight at its success.
“It was great to welcome the players to the programme and congratulate them on being chosen by inviting them into the Vitality Stadium where they got to experience how it is for the team on a matchday,” she began.
“We are extremely happy to be working with The FA to provide a platform for talented players with a disability in the area to showcase their potential, and are looking forward to the first training session this Sunday.”
