December distributions made for Community Fund

AFC Bournemouth's Cherries Community Fund has recently donated over £8,000 into the local community in the latest panel of donations.

The following donations have been awarded to local causes in the area:

£936.19 donated to The Domain who run youth sessions for young people in the community.

£1,000 donated to Burley Primary School for replacement outdoor play equipment.

£300 donated to Corfe Castle Primary School towards the building of their ‘Spiritual Garden’.

£1,000 donated to Bournemouth BMX club to purchase new bikes and safety helmets.

£1,000 donated to Shine Cancer Support for their upcoming retreat.

£1,000 donated to the ‘Sound it Out’ project that will run Music and Art courses for Young Carers.

£900 given to Dorset Search and Rescue to purchase replacement safety equipment vital to carry out their services. 

£500 donated to Citizens Advice Bournemouth and Poole to help support their volunteers who provide vital services to those in our community.

£1,000 will help fund the purchase of a special bed surround to be used at Lilly’s Place which is used by Diverse Abilities for overnight stays.

£1,000 donated to Mosaic to run counselling sessions for children dealing with the loss of a loved one.

The total donated from this panel is £8,636 meaning an overall total since the fund started of £119,262.82 has been given to worthy causes!
