AFC Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust will be joining 22 Premier League and English Football League clubs for the Premier League and BT Disability Football Festival.
The event takes place at Manchester City’s Etihad Campus on Tuesday 17 July.
Youngsters from across England and Wales who regularly participate in AFC Bournemouth Premier League and BT Disability programme sessions will have the opportunity to play football and learn new skills as part of the annual event, which aims to inspire disabled people through sport.
The day, which will be hosted by BT’s Jake Humphrey and Abi Griffiths, will be split into two and will see young people take part in a skills challenge in the morning, and then compete in a pan-disability football tournament in the afternoon, all whilst proudly wearing the brand-new AFC Bournemouth football kit.
Ahead of the event, BT Ambassador Jake Humphrey spoke of his delight at hosting the event.
“I’m really excited to be involved with the Premier League and BT Disability programme and have loved seeing the progress that’s been made since we launched it two years ago.
“I look forward to meeting everyone at the event - perhaps even having a kick around too!”
Head of Community Steve Cuss also shared his thoughts.
“The Annual Disability Festival is a great way of bringing clubs together and a good opportunity for the players from our sessions in Bournemouth who have been attending regularly to travel to Manchester, which they are all very much looking forward to.”
