AFC Bournemouth have been engaging with the elderly community across Dorset by helping Care South residents get behind the team in the final eight games of the season.

The club donated merchandise to 12 of Care South’s care homes across the county as the Cherries face eight more matches in the restarted Premier League season.

And the Cherries gear, which ranged from flags, to scarves and decorations, gave the homes a real buzz as top-flight football returned to the country.

Care South are an official partner of the club’s Community Sports Trust and has become a leading provider of high quality residential and home care across the south of England.

The partnership, which is now in its sixth year, has seen the club’s community team visit Care South’s 12 homes across Dorset, running sessions for residents including chair football, games and discussions on football.

The team made 97 visits over the past year and were proud to see the care homes covered in red and black during Saturday’s game with Crystal Palace.
