AFC Bournemouth have once again teamed up with Official Wellness Partner Vitality to offer a six-week health and wellbeing programme.
Following the success of the campaign in 2023, we are delighted to offer supporters the chance to kickstart the new year and get fit within the confines of Vitality Stadium.
Vitality Kickstart encourages those of all fitness levels over the age of 25 to get involved, with the end goal of completing a 5K parkrun on Saturday 24th February (a free 5k event which you can walk, jog or run). Find out more about the Bournemouth parkrun, please click here.
The wellbeing programme will run every Thursday from 6.30pm at Vitality Stadium, with the first session to take place mid-January.
The scheme will then run for six weeks, with the final session taking place two days before the targeted parkrun, which takes place at Kings Park from 9am.
Each session, we’ll help participants train and give expert advice on how to improve nutrition, fitness and mental wellbeing.
There will be a different theme each week, with prizes given out to participants that attend.
Vitality will also be offering motivational and educational videos each week, based on the theme, to help encourage participants.
The five weekly themes are: behaviour change and setting the environment, improving cardiovascular fitness, fuelling for exercise and life, strength training and constructing a plan, and the power of consistency and motivation.
