The donations will continue across the year, with a number of good causes benefiting from the Fund since it started in January 2016.

The money raised for the fund comes from the matchday draw tickets sold on matchday at Vitality Stadium, as well as from the matchday auctions in the hospitality suites.

During 2016, £21,711 was raised and donated while a further £14,118 has been raised since the start of 2017.

The Fund has helped a wide variety of projects in the local area, including helping several football clubs purchase kit and equipment, local schools purchasing specialist equipment, a variety of community projects including street safety and helping adults with learning difficulties, as well as donations to help sustain various support groups and helping the homeless across Bournemouth.

The good work and charitable donations will continue throughout the 2017/18 campaign as the panel will meet a further two times in 2017 to distribute more funds back into the local community.

Any local good cause is eligible to apply and all applications are welcomed. For more information or to apply for funding for your good cause, click here: https://www.afcb.co.uk/for-fans/cherries-community-fund-and-draw-results

The funding panel at the club consists of AFC Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn, head of the Community Sports Trust Steve Cuss and player Marc Pugh.
