Billing and Danjuma help Junior Cherries Beach Clean

AFC Bournemouth stars Philip Billing and Arnaut Danjuma were on hand to help the club’s Junior Cherries protect the local environment.

30 children from the club’s Junior Cherries membership scheme were invited to a special beach clean event, encouraging youngsters to help look after the beautiful Bournemouth coastside.

Kitted out in Junior Cherries tabards and litter picking equipment, the Junior Cherries not only helped to protect the beach area, but were also treated to a special appearance by summer recruits Billing and Danjuma.

At event sponsors Hot Rocks after the hard-work, the young Cherries were handed prizes by the first-team squad members as well as tucking into some delicious food and drink.

Danjuma, who made his full Premier League debut against Watford last month, said: “It’s a really good initiative.

“It’s great to get out into the local community and to meet some of the young fans and help put a smile on their faces.”

Billing added: “It’s a good initiative, when you come to the beach in the summer it’s great when it’s clean and looked after.

“So it’s a great initiative and one which was great to be involved in.”
