Over the weekend, the AFC Bournemouth Ability Counts under-12 and under-16 teams travelled for their next round of league fixtures.

Three teams were representing the under-12 age group and two for the under-16s.

Under-12s

The Reds started their weekend with a terrific win against Hamble, as Noah scored the only goal of the game.

This was followed by a defeat to Eastleigh, who went ahead twice in the first half and consolidated their win with a smart finish at the end of the second.

In their final fixture of the day, the Reds faced Fawley Falcons in a close affair. Fawley led at half time after their striker struck a loose ball into the back of the AFC Bournemouth goal, however Ethan levelled the game in the second half, as he struck a brilliant first-time finish into the corner.

The Blacks were also in action and they started slowly with a 4-1 defeat to Fawley Falcons. Having been 4-0 down at half time, they worked hard in the second half and played some good passing football before Luke scored.

A second defeat followed for the side, as they faced Fawley Falcons again later in the day.

Facing Hamble Yellows next, the Blacks kept a clean sheet and were excellent in front of goal, as both Cayden and Ryan scored.

In their final fixture of the day, Ryan pulled off some brilliant saves in goal and Hayden defended brilliantly, as Luke scored a brace, only for it to be cancelled out by two brilliant goals from the opposition. The game was won however, as Emily scored her first ever AFC Bournemouth goal.

The Cherries also played some excellent football thoroughout their fixtures, which included a debut game for Jamie. Oliver also netted his first ever AFC Bournemouth goal, after running down the wing and beating two players, striking the ball from outside the box and into the bottom corner. Jude also scored during the same game.

Under-16s

During the later stages of the day, the Reds played Eastleigh in a game where neither team looked like scoring during the first half. The second half was much better as Alfie and Josiah both netted to secure a 2-0 victory.

This was followed by a 3-0 victory over Fawley Falcons, as Anthony scored a brace on his debut and Brendon added a single goal.

The day was finished with a 1-0 victory over Hamble, as Connor netted for his side.

For the Blacks, Dan made a great start to his league season, having moved up from the under-12 squad, scoring twice in his first game.

The team were strong throughout all their fixtures and their team spirit really shone through, particularly when they went 1-0 down against Hamble and came back to win 3-1.
