Ability Counts sessions welcomes Cherries guests

The two AFC Bournemouth players joined in with the training drills which featured young players who have physical or learning difficulties, as well as signing programmes and shirts for those taking part in the Community Sports Trust's session.

Head of community, Steve Cuss, gave further details of the afternoon: "In partnership with Dairy Crest we offer various different sessions throughout the week for people of all ages, from our children right up to our adults who can train and play football on a weekly basis, and also represent AFC Bournemouth in our teams at the weekend.

"We were delighted to be joined by the players in a coaching session, with the group given a stadium tour later on.

"The Ability Counts programme forms part of the wider offer that we deliver to all players who have a physical or learning difficulty."

Dairy Crest sponsor Ability Counts as well as sponsoring the accessible travel service for away matches over the course of the season, with the service running to more matches than ever over the recently-finished Premier League campaign.

Cherries midfielder Taylor spoke about his experience with the group: "It's been great, there's a lot more for youngsters to do now. Especially when we were younger, we just played down the park with a local side if you could make a team. It's great that they are adding more things for kids.

"I did similar stuff, skill schools, things like that. We came down to support Ability Counts and appreciate what they do for these young kids."
