Jon Lloyd-Jones looks forward to training with the welsh national team on Sunday 4th February.

Qualifying for Wales through his grand-parentage, Jon Lloyd-Jones will be travelling to Bridgend College to be a part of the squad's training camp this weekend.

Currently a participant of the AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust, Premier League and BT Disability Football programme, he attends weekly pan-disability training sessions at Pelhams Park.

He has also represented AFC Bournemouth many times in the Saints Pan-Disability Football League, as well as on tour with the Ability Counts squads in Germany.

Following the call up, ability counts co-ordinator Katy Shephard commented: “I am so pleased that Jon has been given this opportunity to show himself at the national level.

“We would like to wish him every success with the Welsh learning disability squad at the training camp this weekend.”

If successful at this weekend’s training camp, Jon will look forward to meeting up with the squad for additional training camps in February and March, with a view to representing Wales in the Home Nations Championships in Belfast, during April.
