Top barrister Jo serves up a feast at Directors' Dinner

Guests were treated to a captivating evening of fine food and excellent company at the AFC Business Directors’ Dinner.

Hosted at Vitality Stadium by Harvey Thorneycroft, around 100 guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course dinner in the Top Floor Restaurant.

They were then given a fascinating, insightful and amusing address from guest speaker Professor Jo Delahunty QC.

Guests invited for Directors' Dinner

A highly sought-after specialist entrusted with some the most significant and demanding national cases, Jo has become a pioneering force within her profession.

She spoke of her involvement in the Hillsborough inquiry and how she acted on behalf of 77 of the bereaved families.

A part-time judge and professor of law, she works tirelessly to promote gender equality in the legal profession and is passionate about mentoring and role modelling for all young students and barristers working their way through the ranks.

She rounded off the event, which was sponsored by award-winning currency broker Global Reach, by conducting a question-and-answer session for guests.

AFC Bournemouth commercial director Rob Mitchell said: "I would like to extend my thanks to our host Harvey Thorneycroft and the incredibly insightful and entertaining Professor Jo Delahunty QC.
