AFC Bournemouth is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Riverside Travel to provide supporters with accessible away travel for the 2021/22 season.
In the partnership the club will be providing a wheelchair accessible minibus as a travel option for all away Championship fixtures this season, meaning more supporters will be able to support the Cherries on the road.
Riverside Travel is a family run business based in Tarrant Hinton, Dorset. Their fleet comprises of a variety of taxis and minibuses for hire with a driver, with seating capacity for up to 16 passengers.
They currently have over 25 vehicles in their fleet, eight of which are wheelchair accessible.
They also operate cars, single wheelchair occupancy vehicles, eight-seater minibuses, and a variety of 12, 13 and 16-seater minibuses so they can accommodate most customer requirements.
All their vehicles come with its own driver who ensure that passengers have a safe and comfortable journey.
AFC Bournemouth disability access officer Ben Abberstein said: “We’re really excited to have Riverside Travel on board as our official accessible travel supplier this season.
“It was clear from our conversations with Riverside Travel that they share our commitment to improving access and providing positive, inclusive experiences for people with disabilities.
“We are fortunate to have such a diverse supporter base at AFC Bournemouth and having that support with us away from home this season will be vital to the team’s fortunes on the pitch.”
Riverside Travel’s managing director Ryan Emby said: “We are very pleased and honoured to be named as AFC Bournemouth’s official disability travel partner. It gives us a genuine opportunity to give a little back to our local community who have supported us over the years.
"We are confident that the team will do very well on the pitch this season and it will be a privilege to transport as many fans as possible to their away games. We are looking forward to working closely with AFC Bournemouth and their partners this season and in the future.”
Prices and on-sale dates for away matches will be released with away ticket information in advance of each fixture.
