Legal firm kicks off with Cherries

Legal firm Trethowans has become an official partner of AFC Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust (CST).

The 150-year-old firm, which has five offices across the region, has signed up for the remainder of this season and the whole of 2019/20.

Trethowans now sponsors the Premier League club’s popular schools Healthy Lifestyles Project, for which midfielder Lewis Cook is the project ambassador.

The main objective of the Healthy Lifestyle workshop is to educate young people on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise.

Its aim is to make children and young people more aware of the food that they are eating.

Trethowans managing partner, Chris Whiteley, said: “Trethowans is really excited to be working with AFC Bournemouth and supporting the club’s Community Sports Trust, which does an amazing amount of good work.”

“Whilst we are proud of our own growth and success over the last few years, we cannot claim to match the amazing achievements of AFC Bournemouth who have firmly cemented their place in the Premier League, the best and most competitive league in the world.”

The partnership will see Trethowans support the CST and attend corporate events. The firm is also headline sponsor of the AFC Business play on the pitch tournament taking place on Wednesday 15th May at Vitality Stadium.

Amy Brunton, the club’s partnerships manager, said: “We warmly welcome Trethowans and are delighted to have them aboard and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.

“Although Trethowans is one of the fastest growing law firms in the UK, it has always stuck to its core values – which include supporting local sports clubs, charities and the arts across the region.”

Trethowans has a team of more than 200 people, including 40 partners, based in offices in Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Salisbury and Winchester, as well as an office in London.

As well as the AFC Bournemouth CST, Trethowans is involved in a number of initiatives, including sponsoring the business awards, rugby, cricket, speedway and a history festival – as well as helping a number of local charities with fundraising and donations.
