An expanding Dorset-based IT service provider, helping children to stay safe online, has signed up to support an AFC Bournemouth initiative for a fourth consecutive season.

ITSB (IT Support Business) is an official partner of AFC Bournemouth’s self-funding, non-profit Community Sports Trust and sponsors a schools’ educational project called Connect with Care.

This project, whose Cherries ambassador is midfielder Andrew Surman, provides lessons in one-hour workshops designed to educate young people on how to remain safe while using the internet.

ITSB chief executive Lee Dredge said: “I’m a parent myself and we want to do everything we can as an IT company to help keep children safe online and free from cyber-bullying. I had no hesitation in signing up with the club again.

“Connect with Care is an excellent initiative educating our young people about the dangers of the internet and, with the use of computers, smart phones and tablets in school and at home growing exponentially, we must remain vigilant and aware of the dangers.”

Expanding ITSB was founded by Mr Dredge in 2010 and is headquartered on Richmond Hill, Bournemouth. The business operates from the south coast, along the M3 corridor and into London where it has a particularly strong presence as a technology-led, expanding managed IT services business.

Earlier this year, ITSB merged with communications provider Crystal Clear Communications and already the combined technology portfolio that both companies offer is delivering a strong, unified platform and service, to support their clients’ future plans with innovative solutions.

AFC Bournemouth partnerships manager Amy Marks said: “We are so pleased that ITSB is back with us for a fourth season in a row. It is heartening to have such expertise sponsoring this worthwhile educational programme.

“Connect with Care is a wonderful classroom-based scheme and the Community Sports Trust’s sessions are increasingly popular and have proved to be invaluable for parents, pupils and teachers.”

ITSB has also signed up as an Executive Business Partner of AFC Business and the sponsorship will see the company attend business events and engage with businesses across the region.

AFC Business is AFC Bournemouth’s free-to-join business club with 1,800 members. As a member of AFC Business, businesses receive a number of brilliant benefits.
