Following the launch of 'Goal Along with the Cherries' author and club historian Neil Vacher welcomed the book's sponsors to Vitality Stadium to receive their special copies of the publication.

Richard Osborne from Hill Osborne and Brian Higgs from BH Calibration Services have supported the book and received thanks for their continued backing of the club.

'Goal Along with the Cherries', now available online as well as in person at the club Superstore, has been published to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Cherries' first Football League promotion in 1970/71.

Led by manager John Bond, the well-remembered side stormed to promotion from the Fourth Division with star striker Ted MacDougall scoring 49 goals.

Vacher's book charts the side's progress through the season while also putting the campaign into context with stories from around the football, political and cultural world.
