AFC Bournemouth cemented the club’s association with the county’s business community by presenting Dorset Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) with a commemorative shirt.

AFC Bournemouth’s commercial director Rob Mitchell presented DCCI chief executive Ian Girling with the shirt – at a prestigious business lunch.

The club is a one of just two premium partners of the long-established organisation that promotes and represents the interests of businesses across Dorset and is a key voice advocating strong economic growth.

Mr Girling said: "The rise of the Cherries and subsequent consolidation in the world’s best football league has been little short of remarkable and we are honoured by our continued association with the club.

"Cementing our relationship like this is an excellent way of demonstrating that AFC Bournemouth and the DCCI are working together to support the growth of a vibrant and successful economy in Dorset."

Rob said: "AFC Bournemouth are very much a Dorset club and we are committed to being at the heart of the county’s commerce through strong ties to the thriving business community."

The DCCI Partnership Programme – there are also 30 platinum partners – supports business growth through the exchange of knowledge, expertise and experience.

The shirt was presented at the November Business Partners Lunch held at the Haven Hotel, Sandbanks.
