Cutwise Flooring clean up on golf day

Cutwise Flooring were crowned champions of the AFC Bournemouth corporate golf day at Isle of Purbeck Golf Course on Friday.

The bi-monthly event, which was sponsored by B&H Services Air Conditioning and N&S Electrical, saw teams of four from numerous local businesses enjoy the prestigious course and compete to earn the top prize.

The event was staged to support the club’s four nominated charities for the 2021/22 season, Hope For Food, Lewis Manning Hospice Care, MyTime Young Carers and the Isabel Baker Foundation.

It was a closely contested day with Charminster-based Cutwise Flooring pipping Silver Arrow Investments by just one point in the overall standings.

And Cutwise Flooring capped off a special day on the course by also winning the Charity Challenge – given to the team with the best total score over the final six holes.

Former Cherry Tony Funnell, who played for the club in the early 1980’s, was also on hand to dish out the prizes on the afternoon.

AFC Bournemouth would like to thank event sponsors B&H Services Air Conditioning and N&S Electrical for their support, along with those businesses that sponsored a hole and entered a team.

The next AFC Bournemouth corporate golf day will be held at Ferndown Golf Club on Tuesday 9th November. For more information and to get involved, please contact brian.benjafield@afcb.co.uk.
