AFC Bournemouth have teamed up with Official Wellness Partner Vitality to offer a free five-week health and wellbeing programme.

Cherries Kickstart encourages those of all fitness levels over the age of 25 to get involved, with the end goal of completing a parkrun on Saturday 11th February (a free 5k event which you can walk, jog, run or volunteer).

The wellbeing programme will run every Thursday from 6.30pm at Vitality Stadium, with the first session to take place on 12th January.

The scheme will then run every Thursday until 9th February, with the final session taking place two days before the targeted parkrun, which takes place at Kings Park from 9am.

Each session, we’ll help participants train and give expert advice on how to improve nutrition, fitness and mental wellbeing.

There will be a different theme each week, with prizes given out to participants that attend.

Not only will iPro offer hydration support, but Vitality will be offering motivational and educational videos each week, based on the theme, to help encourage participants.

The five weekly themes will be as follows:

  • Building healthy habits
  • Performance nutrition
  • Musculoskeletal health and staying injury free
  • Improving cardiovascular fitness
  • Maximising performance

Applications are now being taken online only via this link here. Applications will close at 7pm on Monday 2nd January 2023.
