Leading department store Beales are helping AFC Bournemouth expand their reach in the community by supporting their latest campaign.

The Beales Department Store group are the new sponsors of Premier League Kicks in Bournemouth and are one of the official partner of the Community Sports Trust for the 2017/18 season.

Beales department stores began trading in 1881 and has recently been taken over by new ownership, which as a result, means the retailer is returning to its philosophy as a family department store group offering fine brands and products at attractive prices.

They are using their reputation to help the next generation, by supporting the popular Premier League Kicks programme which already has hundreds of children signed up to take part.

The popular Premier League funded project enabled the AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust to offer free football to over 1000 young people during the 2016/17 season.

It encourages young people to get involved in playing sports in the evenings, which sees them benefit from a healthier lifestyle, improved well-being and most importantly offers them a safe environment to enjoy themselves.

Tyrone Mings is the player ambassador for the project, and head of community Steve Cuss said: “The Premier League Kicks project has continued to expand throughout the two seasons of delivery, we are looking forward to working in partnership with Beales to continue to offer playing opportunities to children and young people across Bournemouth throughout the current season.”

Tony Brown, CEO of Beales said: “Beales is proud to be involved in Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust’s projects.

“We have been privileged over the years to have been able to support AFC Bournemouth projects and the outstanding work they do for our town, both Beales and AFC Bournemouth believe in giving back to our communities and developing the talent that our town has to offer.”

Amy Marks, partnership executive added: "It is fantastic to be working in partnership with Beales. Having their support will contribute to making Premier League Kicks Bournemouth an even bigger success and upon each season growing the sessions enabling more young people to take part."

Beales will have the opportunity to engage in the Bournemouth sessions, as well as being given advertising at Premier League games at Vitality Stadium.
