AFC Business last week hosted its first virtual Christmas event and were joined by over 40 attendees to spread some festive cheer.

With the current Covid-19 pandemic meaning that business club members couldn’t attend in person at Vitality Stadium, it was great to see so many familiar faces join us over Zoom.

Ahead of the event, members received hand-delivered mini hampers which included a Christmas pudding, Thornton truffles, biscuits, hot chocolate, mini mince pies, mullet wine, red wine and of course a bag of sweets.

Sponsored by Think Aero, the occasion was hosted by Paul Kinvig and Jimmy Glass, who did a sterling job, while chairman Jeff Mostyn was also in attendance and spoke with our business club members.

There was plenty of fun to be had with Andrew Longland winning our festive quiz, Giles Wellington, Rob Tanner and Sarah Wrixon picked up a prize for the best hat, best Zoom background and best dressed respectively.

Caroline Attreed was also the only singer of the afternoon and, as a result, won a signed pair of boots for local charity, Julia’s House.

We would like to extend our thanks to the official business partners: Bournemouth Chamber, Dorset Chamber, Dorset Search & Rescue, Global Reach, Hill Osborne, Powerful Allies and Village Hotel.

We’re also extremely greatly to our executive partners, Think Aero, for sponsoring the event during such challenging times.
