Something for our Junior Cherries - try your hand at our puff pastry pizza!
Ingredients
- 320g ready-rolled puff pastry sheets
- One tube tomato purée
- 75g grated mozzarella or cheddar
- Your toppings of choices – we used vine tomatoes and basil but you can add ham or pepperoni and other vegetables as well!
Method
- Firstly, preheat the oven to 200C or gas mark 6.
- Unroll the sheet of puff pastry removing all the packaging.
- Cut the pastry into equal pieces, we made six squares.
- Prepare the oven trays by adding baking paper then place the pastry squares onto the tray, we recommending using two trays to allow for the pastry to spread.
- Prod the pastry with a fork leave a border around the edge, this will help it to raise around the edges but stay flat in the middle!
- Add some tomato purée to the squares and spread evenly, use your preferred amount as everyone’s preference is different.
- Sprinkle over the cheese.
- Chop the tomatoes into slices and roughly cut the basil then add this to the squares as well along with any other toppings you like.
- Place in the oven and bake for around 20 minutes or until the edges have raised and gone a golden brown.
- Leave them to cool slightly and then enjoy!
