Club Recipe: Creamy bacon sprouts

Our latest club recipe is Christmas themed and you can give it a go by following the method below. 

Our creamy bacon sprouts are perfect for the big day. 

Ingredients 

  • 500g Brussels sprouts (trimmed)
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 100g smoked bacon lardons
  • 75ml crème fraîche
  • 10g Parmesan, grated
  • Salt & pepper

Method 

  1. Firstly heat a pan of water until boiling then turn down the heat slightly and simmer the sprouts for 7 mins or until tender. 
  2. Once they are cooked, drain the spouts.
  3. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat then add the bacon lardons and cook for 6 minutes or until crisp.
  4. Mix the crème fraîche and Parmesan together then add some salt and black pepper to season. Add the sprouts to the pan then pour in the crème fraîche. 
  5. Stir continuously to heat through, add some more salt and pepper if preferred then serve!

The recipe serves four people.
