Zemura wins September's Goal of the Month

Jordan Zemura has won September's Goal of the Month award, after his superb individual goal against Barnsley.

The Cherries ran out 3-0 winners at Vitality Stadium on the day, the Zimbabwe international bagging a brace, while Solanke also got on the scoresheet.

Sponsored by Strategic Solutions, the left-back's goal came after he won possession back in the middle of the park and beat three defenders, before slotting a low effort past Bradley Collins in the Tykes goal.

Zemura, who finished with 42.7% of the vote, beat off competition from Philip Billing (23.7%), Becki Bath (21.3%) and Christian Saydee (12.3%).

After claiming the award, he was presented with it by members of staff from Strategic Solutions at Vitality Stadium.

He also spoke with afcb.co.uk about taking home the trophy.

"It's my first time winning a Goal of the Month award and I'm really grateful to the fans for voting for me.

"As a left-back, obviously my job is to keep goals out at one end, but I also love scoring them at the other and I was buzzing to score two that day.

"They were my first senior goals for the club and it's an afternoon I'll remember for a long time, especially as I won this award for the second one!"
