Yann Kermorgant wanted to share an open letter with the AFC Bournemouth fans following his retirement from football...

Since I have announced my retirement as a professional footballer, I have received a lot of messages really touching from players, friends and especially from the fans!

So I want to say a big thank to my ex-teammates who permitted me to pass two tremendous years with lots of incredible memories, including of course a magnificent season that got us promoted to the Premier League. That will be etched into my memory forever.

I want to thank the manager and all the staff for their incredible job and their professionalism by pushing players to get the best of them.

I don’t forget anybody involved at the club without exception because you are part of the club success, so thank you so much.

Finally, I want to thank all the fans for their kindness and their unfailing support.

I could never thank you enough for all you have done for me and I hope to come back one day at Dean Court to watch a game and support the lads with you and say thank you.

All the best and of course stay at home to be safe.
