Nathan Ake added to his prize collection as he was voted the Players' Player of the Year at Sunday night's Player Awards Evening.

The Dutch defender received the award from his peers the day after he had collected a host of other prizes on the pitch at Vitality Stadium after the Cherries had secured their Premier League status with the 1-0 win over Swansea City.

Saturday's collection for Ake included the Mickey Cave/Daily Echo Player of the Year and the Junior Cherries Player of the Year.

Held in the Windsor Hall at the BIC and sponsored by Strategic Solutions and Westover Group, the Cherries squad assembled as a total of eight awards were handed out, with BBC Radio Solent's Kris Temple and Sky Sports presenter Mark McAdam presenting throughout the evening.

  • The evening's first award, for Community Player of the Season, was won by defender Tyrone Mings, for the hard work he has done in the region across the season, which include as ambassador for the Kick It Out campaign.
  • Midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh was awarded for his strong season, which has included training and travelling with the first team, with the Youth Team Player of the Season prize.
  • For the first time, the AFC Bournemouth Ladies were presented with their Player of the Season award at the event, attacking midfielder Chloe Tape receiving the award on stage.
  • The John Harriss Unsung Hero Award - newly named after long-time Cherries employee John, who sadly passed away earlier this year - was presented by manager Eddie Howe to lifelong supporter Bob Miles, who continues to take an active role working at the club after he passed his 80th birthday earlier this season.
  • The Under-21s Player of the Season was awarded to Republic of Ireland youth international goalkeeper Mark Travers, whose exploits this season included, incredibly, scoring on his debut on loan at Weymouth.
  • Nathan Ake formally received his Supporters' Player of the Season award on stage, the award voted for by AFC Bournemouth fans.
  • There was a vote on the night at the ceremony to crown the Goal of the Season - with the results tallied and Charlie Daniels being revealed as the winner for his thunderbolt against Manchester City back in August.
  • The final prize of the evening was the Players' Player of the Season, voted for by the squad and presented by last year's winner Joshua King. Upon presentation, King explained that Nathan Ake was his first, second and third pick, and the defender soon joined his team-mate on stage to collect the award.

The club would like to say thanks to Strategic Solutions and Westover Group for their sponsorship of the evening.
