AFC Bournemouth are recruiting a Junior Graphic Designer to join the club's in-house design team.
JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
HEAD OF BRAND AND DESIGN
Reporting to the Head of Brand and Design, the Junior Graphic Designer’s primary role is to support the design team and completion of tasks from the design and brand task-list.
The Junior Graphic Designer will be comfortable providing a design solution from initial brief stage to finalised creative concept, to a high standard ready for print and digital circulation.
On a day-to-day basis, this role will also involve providing support to the rest of the team; Including working from a finalised concept to provide art-working of various creative assets, as well as providing cut-out imagery from recent matches.
The Junior Graphic Designer will provide design solutions for all departments involved at the football club, including the Junior Cherries, Community Sports Trust, Hospitality & Events, AFC Business and the club’s Commercial and Media teams; Whilst providing this support, they will work within the AFC Bournemouth brand guidelines and maintain the visual standards and style set by the design team.
SUPPORT DESIGN TEAM REQUIREMENTS
Work daily from the design team task-list on jobs assigned by the Head of Design and Brand.
REWORKING OF CAMPAIGN GRAPHICS
Adapt and resize agreed concept assets for all sizes for circulation in digital and print based media.
MAINTAIN VISUAL IDENTITY
Design all assets whilst adhering to the brand guidelines and using the bespoke club assets available.
Must be comfortable using Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Any knowledge of Adobe After Effects and digital e-mail software such as MailChimp and DotMailer would benefit the applicant.
The successful applicant will have completed higher education qualification (either HND or degree) in a graphic design related course and ideally have at least 6 months industry experience.
It would be advantageous to have some knowledge of AFC Bournemouth and the English football environment, but not essential.
