AFC Bournemouth are looking for a full-time groundsperson to join the team and help prepare the pitches at Vitality Stadium and around the club.
We are seeking to appoint a full-time groundsperson to join our grounds team, maintaining the pitches at Vitality Stadium, the first-team training ground and our academy site, reporting to the head of grounds and the deputy head of grounds.
The successful applicant will have experience in sports turf, and operating sports turf machinery, have at least an NVQ level 2 in sports turf (or equivalent), hold a driving licence and ideally have PA1, PA6 and PA2 spraying certificates. An understanding of the relevant health and safety legislation is also desirable.
The role involves preparing and maintaining the sports surfaces to the very highest standard. You must be reliable, enthusiastic and able to work unsupervised, as well as work well in a team with a desire to achieve the highest standards. You must also be flexible and willing to work overtime when required, proactive and work with good attention to detail and a high level of enthusiasm.
Working hours: 8am - 4pm plus match days.
