Location: Bournemouth/Poole (Canford Park Arena, BH21 3AP)
Contract Type: Casual 22/23 Season    
Hours: Casual (Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday evenings & Sundays)
Pay: Tier 1 - £40 Training & £60 Game/Double Session
Tier 2 - £30 Training & £50 Game/Double Session
Tier 3 - £20 Training & £40 Game/Double Session

Main Duties

To assist managing and coaching an age group (U9-12) squad, working within the AFCB Academy Philosophy. This role will require evening work (Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday), and weekend fixtures both home & away

  • Assist delivering age-appropriate coaching sessions that are well structured ensuring they adhere to the AFC Bournemouth Academy Philosophy.
  • In the absence of the Age Group Coach, to efficiently prepare a session plan before each coaching session ensuring you adhere to the AFC Bournemouth Philosophy.
  • On matchdays, to assist managing your team and in the absence of the Age Group Coach, manage your team in a calm and professional manner following the AFC Bournemouth matchday protocol.
  • Responsible for logging coaching sessions & evaluation sheets onto Academy PMA system and Academy Soccer Coach.
  • Complete and compile match reports including player feedback, registers, and minutes on the pitch. This will then need to be recorded onto the PMA system.
  • Responsible for the welfare of the children whilst they are in your care.
  • Display enthusiasm and energy that will encourage the players in a positive manner.
  • Communicate with other AFCB Academy staff in a professional manner.
  • Attend AFC Bournemouth Academy In-service days and FA CPD sessions (maximum four per season).
  • Attend player reviews 3-4 times a season including the end of year review at the Vitality Stadium with your age group players and parents.
  • Abide by the AFCB Code of Conduct for Coaches.
  • As a casual worker you must adhere to the club’s safeguarding policies and procedures and are committed to our safeguarding values, creating a safe and positive environment for all those who interact with the club.
  • Obligation to adhere to the club’s health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Actively promote the club’s equality policies and practices to ensure a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.

  • FA Youth Award

  • EFAiF (Emergency First Aid in Football
